Privacy Policy
Rime Base Rescue
This policy explains how this application handles information and how to contact us about privacy.
Information we process
Rime Base Rescue stores your current puzzle, confirmed turns, completed missions and rescue journal on your device in an application save file. Language, sound, music and motion preferences and a cached daily challenge are stored locally in system preferences. Journal entries contain mission numbers, completion dates, turn counts and the number of fictional travelers rescued. These records are not uploaded. The app requests public daily challenge content and scenario metadata over HTTPS. Railway, our hosting provider, receives network information needed to handle those requests, such as IP addresses, request paths, timestamps, response status and connection or device headers. We do not create accounts, request contact details, collect installation identifiers or use advertising or analytics SDKs. Visiting this website also sends ordinary network requests to Railway. The website uses no cookies or tracking scripts.
How we use information
Local records let you continue a puzzle, view your rescue journal and keep your preferences after closing the app. The local daily cache supports offline play for up to 24 hours on the same UTC challenge date; a built-in challenge is available when online content cannot be loaded. Network requests deliver the daily puzzle, check the 24-scenario content manifest and display this policy. Infrastructure request and error information may be used by Railway and the operator to provide, protect and diagnose the service. Game state and journal records are not used for profiling or marketing.
Service providers and sharing
Public challenge requests are processed by Railway as our hosting infrastructure provider. The application backend uses the standard Node.js runtime and has no database, email provider, advertising network or analytics recipient. It does not persist request bodies, IP addresses, device identifiers or gameplay records in application storage and does not log per-request payloads. Railway may maintain infrastructure, access and diagnostic logs under its own service practices. Local game records remain on your device, subject to Apple device backup and operating-system services you choose. If you independently email the privacy contact, your email service and the recipient email service process that correspondence. The app has no email sending feature.
Data retention
Local progress and journal entries remain until you reset them in Settings or remove the app. Preferences remain until changed or the app data is removed. Cached daily content is only used for 24 hours and for its UTC date; it is replaced on a subsequent successful fetch and removed by the local progress reset. The backend stores no personal game records and maintains no database or backups of your game. Railway infrastructure logs may outlast an individual request; this application does not control or establish a fixed retention period for those logs. Device backups may contain local app data and are retained according to your Apple or device backup settings. We do not promise that deleting live data removes a previously created backup.
Deleting your information
Use Settings, Delete local progress, and confirm to erase the saved puzzle, completed mission list, rescue journal and cached daily content from this device. Language, audio and motion preferences are retained so you can keep using your chosen settings. Removing the app removes its current local storage. Manage or delete device backups separately in your device or backup-provider settings. There are no server gameplay records or accounts to delete or restore, and no cross-device recovery service. For questions or requests about infrastructure data or privacy correspondence, contact colstontolladay4@icloud.com. We will assess what information is actually held and what can be deleted; we cannot identify historic infrastructure records from a gameplay save.
Permissions and your choices
The app requests no location, contacts, camera, microphone, photo library or notification permissions. Audio playback does not record sound. Internet access is used for public content and policy requests. You may disable connectivity in your device settings; offline scenarios and the local challenge remain playable. Change sound, music and motion choices in the app at any time. No personal permission is required to read this policy.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or restriction of personal information and to raise a concern with a relevant privacy authority. Contact colstontolladay4@icloud.com with a description of your request. You can directly change preferences and erase local progress on your device. Because the operator does not receive your gameplay records or use an account or installation identifier, we cannot retrieve or correct those device-only records remotely. We may need limited additional information to understand a request without asking for unrelated data.
Security
The app uses HTTPS for online content. Local records are stored inside the app sandbox and are subject to iOS device protection. The service accepts public read-only content requests and has no private gameplay endpoint, shared client secret or account credentials. Server request timeouts and header limits reduce resource abuse, and public responses use content-type and browser security headers. Access to deployment configuration is separate from the app. These measures reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security; protect your device and backups.
Children’s privacy
Rime Base Rescue is designed for players aged 14 and older. It does not request a birth date, user profile or information from children, and it has no advertising, social messaging or purchases. If you believe a child has provided personal information through privacy correspondence, contact colstontolladay4@icloud.com so the operator can review and address the information actually held.
Changes to this policy
This policy describes version 1 of the app and its present backend practices. If the processing changes, the operator will update this public page and its effective date and revise the app link or disclosures where needed. Review this page to see the current policy. Material changes that require an additional notice or choice will be handled as applicable. Privacy questions may be sent to colstontolladay4@icloud.com.
